We think of purpose as a path that determines everything and makes life easier. There's a flip side to this. Purpose can lock us into actions that rob us of choice.
Decision making is a series of choices made under difficult conditions. When we have no choice, we can make no decision. Purpose then, in that context, is a path that can no longer be unchosen.
