Physical activity helps you center yourself.

You can't control your life if you can't control your actions. You can't control your actions if you feel you're being pulled in all directions at once.

To start from a place of certainty you need time to recharge. Perversely physical work re-centers the body, recalibrates the senses and allows the mind to find itself as the brain processes physical, sensory data.

It doesn't matter what you do: chop some wood, go on a hike, clear the drive of snow, rake the garden, stack the shelves in the garage. Get physical. Get tired. Finish what you started. See what a difference it will make to the way you feel.
