Assumptions are based on the willingness to entertain the notion that at least some of the world we perceive is there regardless of us and its existence is right. Assumptions work in closed groups because there is a shared background. Assumptions in a wider context create gaps in knowledge that lead to gaps in perception which then undermine our sense of reality. An insufficiently good grasp of reality leads to flawed decisions.
Do not make flawed decisions. Avoid making assumptions.
Question everything.
