When you're under pressure what do you see in your mind's eye? What do you tell yourself? If the answer to this is "nothing" you're letting the circumstances you face to pile up the pressure and lock your mind down.
Top performers have a safety valve. A visualization that allows them to bypass the pressure and unlock their mind. Sometimes it is an image. At other times it is a concept. Always it is something deep and personal that allows them to feel empowered, capable and focused during times when these things are difficult.
How you go about building your own trigger is up to you. You will need to experiment. But you need to have one.
